DiagnosisDiagnosis: Moderately pointed snout not swollen at the nasal region. Two supraoculars corresponding to the second and the third. First and fourth divided. One or two rows ofgranules between the supraoculars and the superciliaries. Five supralabials anterior to the subocular. Subocular not in contact with the lip and wedged among the fourth, fifth, and sixth supralabial. Moderately conspicuous subocular keel. Two supratemporals, the anterior one larger. Granular temporals, the upper ones keeled while the lower ones larger and smooth. Moderately visible ear opening, pectinate anteriorly by two or three scales. Intensely imbricate gulars. Small, weakly keeled dorsals numbering 44 across the midbody. Ventrals arranged in 12 straight longitudinal rows. Fingers with four series of scales. Strong pectination of the toes with seven keels on each subdigital lamella (Salvador 1982: 140).
