DistributionN Nigeria, N Cameroon, Mali, Central African Republic, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Benin, probably in W Chad (L. Chirio, pers. comm.), Niger (MEDIANNIKOV et al. 2012).

Type locality: half mile southwest of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria City. “Zaria City, Nigeria” fide MEDIANNIKOV et al. 2012.

Diagnosis 
CommentSubspecies: Agama paragama sylvanus MACDONALD 1981 is mostly considered as a full species now.

Distribution: Reports from Gabon represent actually A. lebretoni (Pauwels et al. 2016).
