Chirio, pers. comm.), Niger (MEDIANNIKOV et al. 2012), Republic of South Sudan (RSS), Sudan (Jumhūriyyat) Type locality: half mile southwest of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria City. “Zaria City, Nigeria” fide MEDIANNIKOV et al. 2012.

Diagnosis
Comment	Subspecies: Agama paragama sylvanus MACDONALD 1981 is sometimes considered as a full species but considered as a synonym of A. agama here. Distribution: Reports from Gabon represent actually A. lebretoni (Pauwels et al. 2016).
