Type locality: Seroe Grandi, 4,5 km northeast of Kralendijk, Bonaire, Dutch Leeward Islands.

Diagnosis 
CommentSubspecies: Anolis bonairensis blanquillanus HUMMELINCK 1940 has been elevated to full species status.

Species groups: Dactyloa roquet species group (fide NICHOLSON et al. 2012). 
EtymologyNamed after the type locality.
