DiagnosisDiagnosis: Dorsals in the standard distance 30 to 42 (average 36); 22 to 28 (average 25) subdigital lamellae; adult male somber green-grey with bright yellow suffusion on the sides and bright yellow belly; vermiculations present on the anterior trunk and nape, at least, and dark dotting usually present on remaining dorsal surfaces; orbital area red-gold; chin entirely blue-grey; throat fan yellow with pale yellow scales. Adult female grey with yellow belly, an obscure striped middorsal pattern, and a brief flank stripe (Lazell 1972: 62). 
CommentSpecies group: Ctenonotus bimaculatus species group (fide NICHOLSON et al. 2012).

Subspecies: The currently recognized subspecies of A. marmoratus) might represent only ecotypes (e.g., Thorpe et al. 2015; Thorpe et al. 2018) and might not warrant taxonomic recognition.
