Anolis equestris equestris: western Cuba from Pinar del Rio Province to Villa Clara Province, where intergrades with A. e. persparsus; introduced in southeastern Florida and the Upper Florida Keys. Type locality: Unknown; restricted by Schwartz and Garrido, 1972, to the vicinity of La Habana, La Habana Province, Cuba.

brujensis: Cuba (Sabana-Camagüey); Type locality: Cuba, Cayo Las Brujas, Archipielago de Sabana-Camagüey, provincia de Villa Clara.

buidei: Peninsula de Hicacos, northern Matanzas Province.

cincoleguas: Cayo Cinco Leguas, Matanzas Province.

cyaneus: Cuba (Sabana-Camagüey); Type locality: Cayo Coco Archipielago de Sabana-Camagüey, provincia de Ciego de Avila.

juraguensis: southern Cienfuegos Province.

persparsus: throughout most of Villa Clara and Sancti Spirites provinces.

potior: Archipiélago de Sabana-Camagüey.

sabinalensis: Cuba (Sabana-Camagüey); Type locality: Lorna de la Alegria, Cayo Sabinal, archipieIago de Sabana-Camagüey, provincia de Camagüey

thomasi: Ciego de Àvila and Camagüey provinces, east to Holguin Province.

verreonensis: extreme southwestern Granma Province.

INCERTAE SEDIS: Material from N San Diego de los Baños and Andrés (Pinar del Rio Province), Cayo Guajaba (Archipiélago de Sabana-Camagüey), Finca La Celia, Bayamo, Santiago de Cuba of unconfirmed subspecies. Map legend:

Type species: Anolis equestris Merrem, 1820 is the type species of the genus Eupristis (SAVAGE & GUYER 2004). Note that this genus contains at least one fossil species, Deiroptyx dominicana (RIEPPEL 1980), fide NICHOLSON et al. 2012.
