Distribution	Venezuela (Cerro de la Perijá) Type locality: canyons of Mesa Turik, Sierra de Perijá, Estado Zulia, Venezuela, (10° 22’ 23’’ N, 72° 44’ 27’’ W), 1600 m elevation.

Types	Holotype: MBLUZ R-308, adul male; paratype: MCZ 17475
Diagnosis
Comment	Species groups: Dactyloa heteroderma species group (fide NICHOLSON et al. 2012).
Etymology	Named after the Basque words meaning “of the Basques”, in honour of the expedition “Vasco-venezolana Turik 1991”.
