Type locality: Monte Verde, Guantánamo Province, Cuba.

TypesSyntypes: lost, was USNM, but now lost, fide Schwartz & Henderson 1988. 
Diagnosis

Subspecies: Anolis isolepis altitudinalis GARRIDO 1985 has been elevated to full species status.

Species group: Anolis carolinensis species group (fide NICHOLSON et al. 2012).
