Type locality: Dep. de Antioquia, Municipio de Frontino, km 10 carretera entre la cabecera del corregimiento de Nutibara y Murri (= La Blanquita), ca. 6° 18’ N, 76° 17’ W, alto de Las Cuevas, vertiente occidental de la Cordillera Occidental de Colombia. 2000 m elevation.
