Type locality: Cañon del Tolima, Colombia, 1700 m elevation.

TypesLectotype: ZMH R-01800 (designated by WILLIAMS, in an unpublished manuscript). The type series has been destroyed during World War II, according to WILLIAMS. 
Diagnosis 
CommentListed as synonym of Anolis antonii by PETERS & DONOSO-BARROS 1970: 47.

Werner recognized the close similarity of this lizard to A. rodriguezi (a close relative of A. limifrons, a lower Central American fuscoauratoid) and A.fuscoauratus.
