Diagnosis 
CommentThis species may belong to the A. assimilis species group (see FERRAREZZI et al. 2005). 
EtymologyNamed after Horacio Quiroga (1878-1937), according to the etymology, "a famous Uruguayan writer" who also collected snakes in the early 1900s.
