Type locality: Mexico. Restricted to Tehuantepec, Oaxaca (by SMITH & TAYLOR 1950)

infernalis: Mexico (Guerrero, Morelos); Type locality: Mexico, Guerrero, Mexcala, Río Balsas, 370 m elevation.

oligoporus: Mexico (Atlantic slopes from N Veracruz to Campeche). Type locality: Perez, Veracruz.

schizophorus: Mexico (Veracruz); Type locality: Mexico: ca. 2 mi S Tecolutla on Rt. 180, Veracruz.

CommentSynonymy partly after PETERS et al. 1970 and SMITH & TAYLOR 1950.

Distribution: not in Yucatan state (Mexico) according to GONZÁLEZ-SÁNCHEZ et al. 2017. Not listed for Belize by KÖHLER (2000).

Group: Belongs to the Aspidoscelis deppii group (fide REEDER et al. 2002). 
EtymologyNamed after the collector of the types, Ferdinand Deppe.
