Type locality: Brazil, Ceará State, Serra de Baturité, municipality of Pacoti, Granja, 04°10’S, 38°55’W, ca. 800 m elevation.

EtymologyEtymology.—The specific epithet ronnie represents the nickname of Dr. Ronaldo Fernandes, Curator of Herpetology at Museu Nacional, Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, and a friend of the authors.
