TypesType: Lost fide SMITH & TAYLOR 1945. 
CommentRODRÍGUEZ-ROBLES & JESUS-ESCOBAR (1999) found that Bogertophis and Arizona are paraphyletic genera but recommend further studies to resolve their relationship.
