TypesHolotype: CAS 60724 (EHT Field No. 1718), adult male, collected between 25 October and 17 November 1920, by Edward H. Taylor.

Habitat: semifossorial and typically found in dry, rotting material inside or underneath decaying logs or in loose soil, forest floor detritus, and leaf litter of lowland forest. 
Etymologynamed after Jens Vindum, herpetologist at the California Academy of Sciences.
