Type locality: marais de Pansos, près le Rio Polochie (Guatémala).  
Reproductionoviparous. Temperature‐dependent sex determination (TSD) fide Nemesházi & Bókony 2023.

EtymologyThe name rossignonii is a patronym for Jules Rossignon, a Frenchman who lived for some time in Guatemala in the mid-1800s.
