Type locality: Southernmost of 2 Maria Islands off southeastern end of St. Lucia.

Diagnosis 
CommentGroup: member of the lemniscatus group, see C. lemniscatus for details.

For illustrations see Geoghegan and Renard, 1985. Not mentioned in REEDER et al. (2002) although they cite Presch (1971). 
EtymologyNamed after Professor Dr. Paulo Emilio Vanzolini (1924-2013), a zoologist and herpetologist, who worked at the American Museum of Natural History, New York (late 1970s-1980s).
