Comment	Type species: Colobodactylus taunayi AMARAL 1933 is the type species of the genus Colobodactylus AMARAL 1933.
Etymology	Named after Afonso d'Escragnolle Taunay (1876-1958), the son of a Brazilian viscount when Brazil was still a monarchy.
