Type locality: Mexico, Yucatan, Mérida.

DiagnosisDiagnosis: Allied to Coniophanes imperialis, but entirely lacking the sharply defined dorsolateral lines and ventral spots, and more reddish in general coloration; dorsal scale rows 17-15 instead of 19-17 [from SCHMIDT & ANDREWS 1936].
