Limb morphology: 5 digits, 5 toes (Singhal et al. 2018, Cogger 2014) 
EtymologyNamed after Edward Spalding (1836-1900), an entomologist, taxidermist, and collector of aboriginal artifacts, many of which are now in the Macleay Museum Ethnographic Collection.
