Comment	Synonymy partly after COGGER 1983. Illustration (from Boulenger 1887) in Herp. Bull. 73: 7 Limb morphology: 5 digits, 5 toes (Singhal et al. 2018, Cogger 2014)
Etymology	Named after Edward Spalding (1836-1900), an entomologist, taxidermist, and collector of aboriginal artifacts, many of which are now in the Macleay Museum Ethnographic Collection.
