Diagnosis	Diagnosis: An Alsophis wherein the female has the anal entire: no dark subocular semicircle; clearly marked anteriorly with broad black rings separated by white scales. (Grant 1941)

Etymology	Named after A.S. Rutty, M.B.E. Collector of Customs, Cayman Brac “whose enthusiasm and efftcient cooperation were a source of pleasure to the writer during his stay on the Lesser Caymans.”
