Reproductionoviparous 
TypesTypes: BMNH 1946.1.15.17-18 (and possibly additional specimens).
Holotype: ANSP 5214; Liberia [Dipsas carinatus Hallowell] 
Commentphotograph in Chippaux (1999 and 2001) is actually D. scabra (fide PAUWELS & BRANCH in HR 34: 272). Chifundera (1990) gave Leach 1818 as first describer of D. palmarum.

Distribution: Not reported from Benin according to ULLENBRUCH et al. 2010, but probably present there (Hughes 2013). See map in GÖTHEL 2015: 19.
