CommentSynonymy: Boulenger Rasmussen (1989) synonymized D. viridis with D. duchesnei. Crotaphopeltis elongata BARBOUR 1914 has been synonymized with D. viridis by Rasmussen (1993).

Chifundera mentioned Laurent 1956 as first describer of D. elongata.

MATSCHIE 1893 describes Dipsadoboa assimilis as new species.

Distribution: Dipsadoboa elongata has been erroneously listed for Benin but does not occur there (Hughes 2013).
