Type locality: Isthmus of Darien, Panama.

TypesHolotype: MNHN-RA 6203, male, collected by Dr. Viguier. 
Diagnosis 
CommentSynonymy partly after PETERS & OREJAS-MIRANDA 1970.

Dipsas gracilis and D. viguieri are not distinguishable according to CADLE (2005) and Harvey (2008).

Habitat: fully arboreal (Harrington et al. 2018). 
Etymologynamed after the collector of the types, Dr. Viguier.
