Diagnosis 
CommentThis specis and genus is most closely related to Anotosaura sp.

Type species: Dryadosaura nordestina RODRIGUES et al. 2005 is the type species of the genus Dryadosaura RODRIGUES et al. 2005. 
EtymologyFrom the Greek Dryades, meaning ‘wood-land nymph’. This was the first name proposed (by Carl Philipp von Martius) for the biogeographical province of the Atlantic Forest. “Nordestina” referes to the type locality, the north-eastern part of Brazil.
