DistributionMexico (Cedros Island, and coastal S Baja California Norte)

Type locality: Cañon on southeast side of Cedros Island, Baja California.

TypesHolotype: CAS 56187 
DiagnosisDiagnosis: Fourteen longitudinal dorsal scale rows; ten dorsal rows of scales of weakly keeled on the body and eight dorsal rows weakly keeled on upper side of tail near its base; dorsal scales of neck smooth, temporals and occipitals smooth and rounded, scales on sides of body smooth; all scales on fore and hind limbs smooth; less than fifty transverse dorsal scale rows between ear and back of thigh (from Fitch 1934: 6). 
CommentElgaria cedrosensis fide GRISMER & HOLLINGSWORTH 2001 is an “evolutionary species”.
