CommentDistribution: see map in ARREDONDO & ZAHER 2010. Although reported from Paraguay (fide Paul Smith, pers. comm., 27 Apr 2014), specimens from Paraguay have been recently assigned to Epictia vellardi (Cacciali et al. 2016).
