Diagnosis 
CommentGREER 1990 indicates that this species might be synonymous with Sphenomorphus (Glaphyromorphus) douglasi.

Limb morphology: 5 digits, 5 toes (Singhal et al. 2018, Cogger 2014) 
EtymologyNamed after Leo Daniel Brongersma (1907-1994) [obituary in Copeia 1995: 513 and Zool. Med. Leiden 69: 177].
