| Comment | Has five phalanges in the fourth toe of the manus.
BRONGERSMA 1942 described Lygosoma (Sphenomorphus) emigrans kopsteini whose status is unclear. Greer 1979 says that “wetariensis and kopsteini are probably distinct species”. Shea & Michels 2008: 744 say that "the subspecies has not been re-evaluated in subsequent studies of the genus”.
