Holotype: SMNS 1264 (KNS 2283), collected from Dehradun, North India by Hugo Warth [Euprepes warthii] 
CommentRelationships: E. dissimilis is paraphyletic with other Eutropis; Pereira & Schrago 2017 found it as a sister of Toenayar novemcarinata.

Synonymy mostly after SMITH 1935.

Distribution: Reports from Myanmar are doubtful.
