Distribution	Australia (arid interior of NW Queensland) Type locality: 17 km S of Dismal Crossing, Queensland.

Comment	Group: member of the G. australis species complex.
Etymology	Presumably named after the Latin robustus (strong like an oak) in reference to the large size and robust body form. (G. Shea, pers. comm., 9 Feb 2024)
