TypesSyntypes: MNHN 3313 (1–3), 4522, Originally 5, fifth syntype apparently lost. Downs (1967: 133) designated MNHN 4522, an adult female, the lectotype. 
CommentMimicry: Geophis semidoliatus mimicks Micrurus diastema (TORRE-LORANCA et al. 2006).
