Diagnosis 
CommentThis genus is a sister taxon to Atractaspis and has therefore been assigned to the Atractaspididae by NAGY et al. 2005. Previously the genus Homoroselaps has been assigned to the Elapidae.

Type species: Coluber lacteus LINNAEUS 1758: 220 is the type species of the genus Homoroselaps JAN 1858.
