Diagnosis
CommentEarly literature confused this species with Kinosternon alamosae and Kinosternon hirtipes. Reviewed by Iverson 1981.

Habitat: freshwater (swamps, quiet rivers)
EtymologyNamed after the Latin word integer, meaning "whole, entire, or all," perhaps in reference to the condition of the plastron in this species, with which a turtle is able to completely cover the head, skin, limbs, and tail (Lemos-Espinal & Dixon 2013).
