TypesLectotype: NMW 7919: 1 (male); Paralectotype NMW 7919: 2 (male) 
CommentDifferential diagnosis: K. tavetana is easily differentiated from all other two-horned species by the triangular section of the horns and absence of a dorsal crest in males. 
EtymologyNamed after the “Taveta” forest at the Southern foot of the Kilimanjaro. STEINDACHNER’s 1891 paper has been published twice with different spellings of “tavetanum”
