Type locality: Mwanihana Forest, Uzungwa Mountains, Kilombero District, Tanzania.

Diagnosis 
CommentType species: Leptosiaphos (Perretia) rhomboidalis BROADLEY 1989 is the type species of the subgenus Perretia BROADLEY 1989.

Abundance: only known from the type locality (Meiri et al. 2017). This is one of the species called 'lost' and 'rediscovered' by Lindken et al. 2024.
