CommentHabiat: Leptotyphlops sylvicolus inhabits forest, whereas all other local congeners are savanna forms.

Diagnosis: A species of the L. scutifrons group, closely related to L. conjunctus (Jan), but distinguished by its visceral arrangement, very low total dorsal scale count of 171 —194.
