DiagnosisDiagnosis: Distinguished from all other Lerista by the complete absence of a forelimb, hindlimb styliform or with a reduced digit, >2.5% SVL, interparietal distinct from the frontoparietals, prefrontals absent, four supraciliaries and anterior chin shields with an intervening scale. 
CommentHabitat: Specimens were found in loose soil under logs and other debris.

Limb morphology: 0 digits, 1 toe (reduced) 
EtymologyThe species epithet alia is Latin for different or changed, chosen to illustrate its relationship to its close relative, L. storri s.s.
