TypesHolotype: lost, presumably in ZMH, destroyed during World War II (see Hallermann, 1998). 
Diagnosis 
CommentLimb morphology: 4 digits, 4 toes 
EtymologyFrom the Latin verb distinguo (to distinguish) plus the gerundive suffix -endus, giving the meaning "needing to be distinguished", with reference to the similar L. elegans. (G. Shea, pers. comm., 9 Feb 2024)
