CommentSynonymy: WELLS 2012: 133 lists this species as a synonym of Telchinoscincus (= Lerista) petersoni STORR 1984.

Abundance: only known from the type specimen (Meiri et al. 2017). 
EtymologyFrom Latin ta/pa (mole).
