Type locality: Mt Victoria, Owen Stanley Range, New Guinea.

Type locality: Papua New Guinea; Type locality: 7500-8000 feet on Mount Wilhelm, Bismarck Range, Madang Division, New Guinea [lobulus]  
TypesHolotype: BMNH (may be in error for; the jar label gave two numbers: and, but only the former number was written on the tag, fide Fred Kraus, pers. comm., 18 Apr 2019), collected A.S. Anthony.
Holotype: MCZ 47067, adult male; Paratypes: MCZ R-47068-82 [lobulus] 
CommentSynonymy partly inferred from Loveridge 1945.

Type species: Lygosoma elegans BOULENGER 1897 is the type species of the genus Lobulia GREER 1974.
