Type locality: At 85 m elevation at the base of Mt. Tompotika, approx. 4 km E of Dusun Satu (Region 1), Kampung/Desa (Village) Siuna, Kecamatan (Kingdom), Pagimana, Kabupaten (Regency) Banggai, Propinsi Sulawesi Tengah (Centra Sulawesi Province), Sulawesi Island, Indonesia (0°44.5’S, 123°01.1’E). CommentPhylogeny: Luperosaurus iskandari is nested within Gekko (BROWN et al. 2012), and hence may have to be renamed. 
EtymologyNamed after Djoko T. Iskandar, in honor of his contributions to the taxonomy of the herpetofauna of Sulawesi.
