Type locality: Camiguin Island (18°55'N, 121°55'E), Babuyan Island Group; ca. 1.5 km E of Mambit, elevation 70 m. Map legend:

Reproductionoviparous. 
TypesHolotype:-PNM 2044, a juvenile female; captured 21 May 1989 by R. I. Crombie and H. Ota.
Paratypes. USNM 319283-319285, a juvenile male and two juvenile females from Mambit, alt. 5 m; captured 19 May 1989; CAS 188163, a juvenile female, and USNM 319286, a juvenile male, both from the same locality as holotype; captured 19 and 22 May 1989, respectively. All captured by H. Ota and R. I. Crombie. 
CommentLycodon bibonius is distinct from other Lycodon species in the Philippines in having 22-25 and 16-21 pale bands on the body and tail, respectively
