Type locality: Celebes  
Reproductionoviparous 
TypesHolotype: lost, originally MNUL (also as LNHM), a 597 mm specimen (H. Storm, 1887–1892), destroyed 28 March 1942 during World War II (LNHM = Lübeck Natural History Museum).

Comment 
Etymologynamed after Hugo Storm, captain of the steamboat “Lübeck”, who collected the type on a journey to Indonesia.
