Commentconsidered as subspecies of L. diadema by Leviton et al. (see discussion there)

Diagnosis. Allied to L. diadema, but with widely spaced black dorsal crossbars; preoculars three on each side; 10 lower labials [from SCHMIDT 1939].

Distribution: not in Iraq fide Habeeb & Rastegar-Pouyani 2016. 
Etymologynamed after Dr. Walter P. Kennedy, of the Royal College of Medicine, Baghdad, who has contributed important material to the author’s collections.
