Type locality: Nchingidi, Rondo Plateau, Lindi District, Tanzania.  
Reproductionovovivparous 
TypesHolotype: MCZ 47780, paratypes: BMNH, NMZ 
DiagnosisDiagnosis: A dwarfed species with 18-20 midbody scale rows, 113-128 ventrals and 37- 43 subcaudals. Snout-vent/tail length ratio 2.57-3.62 [from BROADLEY et al. 2006]. 
CommentLimb morphology: limbless 
EtymologyNamed after the type locality.
