Diagnosis 
CommentSynonymy: BOULENGER 1891 considered Tropidurus lemniscatus COPE 1889 as a synonym of Microlophus bivittatus. 
EtymologyNamed after “bi-” = two or dual and Latin “vitta, -ae” = band or stripe.
