Type locality: Indefatigable Island, Galapagos.

TypesSyntypes: USNM 14897-14940; 14916 and 14938 were exchanged with MCZ in 1926 (Cochran 1961). 
Diagnosis 
CommentSynonymy: BOULENGER 1891 synonymized Tropidurus indefatigabilis BAUR 1890 with Leiocephalus Grayii BELL 1843. Cochran 1961 and FROST 1992 followed that view, but Benavides et al. 2009 revalidated indefatigabilis.
