Distribution	Australia (Northern Territory, South Australia, Western Australia) ruficauda: C/N/NW Australia; Type locality: Goyder River or Bagot's Lagoon, Central Australia, N. T. (by lectotype designation). exquisita: mid-western Western Australia.

Etymology	Named after Latin “rufus” = red and “cauda” = tail.
