Type locality: Lubwa’s = Luba’s village, Busoga, Uganda.

Type locality: Tindiga, 5 miles south of Kilosa, Morogoro Dist., Tanzania [kilosae]

TypesType: BMNH 1946.8.6.16 (and possibly additional specimens).
Syntypes: BMNH [kilosae] 
Diagnosis 
CommentSynonymy: Broadley and Howell (1991) synonymized N. kilosae with N. boulengeri. 
EtymologyNamed after George Albert Boulenger (1858 - 1937), herpetologist at the British Museum of Natural History, London. For comments on the types of N. b. kilosae see BAUER & GÜNTHER 1995.
